By Jay Kolls

A Ramsey County Financial Assistance Services memo obtained by 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS says, "There are still several significant areas within the MNsure computer system that are not functional," and concludes, "Cannot close a MNsure case at this time."

That means people who might qualify for Medical Assistance or Medicaid cannot finish the process because the MNsure computer system is not working properly.

We shared our information with State Representative Tony Albright, (R) New Prague, who tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, "Maybe MNsure officials did not tell us the truth. They assured us weeks ago that they had the computer issues under control and were making progress toward resolving the glitches."

Rep. Albright says, "MNsure needs to give us, and Minnesotans, an honest answer as a deadline for health insurance looms." Rep. Albright says it is "very troubling to hear the problems are being fixed and then weeks later see a memo from Ramsey County that says something different."
