Deadline Approaching, GOP Leaders Voice Concern for Minnesotans Seeking Coverage Through MNSURE
St. Paul- Senate Republican Leader David Hann (R-Eden Prairie) and House Republican Leader Kurt Daudt (R-Crown) voiced concerns Monday for Minnesotans who have just one week until the MNsure enrollment deadline to receive health coverage starting January 1, 2014. To date, zero insurance policy cards have been issued for plans purchased through MNsure.
“We need Governor Dayton to provide leadership on his signature legislative accomplishment – he has a habit of distancing himself from policy failures and blaming others. ObamaCare in Minnesota is Governor Dayton and Democrats’ responsibility and they need to be held accountable,” said Sen. Hann.
“Governor Dayton and Democrats’ implementation of ObamaCare in Minnesota has caused daily headaches for hardworking Minnesotans. We have repeatedly raised concerns that people may not have health coverage starting January 1st. Unfortunately, our questions and our calls for oversight were largely ignored by Governor Dayton and Democrats. No more excuses – who’s in charge and what’s the plan?" said Rep. Daudt.
