Representative Chris Swedzinski represents House District 16A which covers Lac qui Parle County, Yellow Medicine County, and part of Lyon County in the southwest part of Minnesota.

Chris graduated from Minneota High School and attended Ridgewater College and then Minnesota State University (Mankato), earning degrees in History and Political Science. He worked for U.S. Congressman Mark Kennedy and later for the U.S. Department of Agriculture before serving in the legislature. Chris is currently a small business owner and a farmer.

Chris and his wife, Jessica, live in Ghent.  They have four young children.
